Reduce start up program and background running program.2. Reformat -change to xp would solve it.3. Now the problem is my lansing speaker isn't working. I cannot hear a sound or any music. Even if i inserted headset there is still no sound. I have a compaq presario sr 1930 il desktop pc. I recently upgraded its os to windows 7. Now, the videos are not playing clearly and sharply as they used to in windows xp (earlier os).
Also now, in windows 7, in device manager, under 'display adapters', it shows 'standard vga graphics adapter.' Earlier, in windows xp, it used to show 'ati radeon xpress 200.' I have been searching for windows 7 drivers compatible with my pc's hardware for a lot of time now, but to no avail.
Thank you!:). Anonymoushello for everyone looking for windows7 drivers for these old laptops:i decided to forget windows7 and installed UBUNTU 10.10 instead and it was the best decision i ever made. It runs so smooth on my dad's old compaq r3000 and now i don't have to worry about spyware and viruses.i strongly recommend you give it a try. In case you don't know, UBUNTU is a linux-based operating system that's open source - meaning - it's absolutely free. It works damn good, too. I was surprised. You might need to have ethernet access to download driver for wifi card.
Other than that, everything else worked well straight away. Hi,its kinda new problems for me, and it seems in other forum it also not yet solve, the big thing ive been thinking is your hardware id is:USBVID04F2&PIDB057&REV0818&MI00but most webcam hardware ID should look like thisUSBVID04F2&PIDB057&PIDXXXXXbut, try to right click on webcam with yellow mark and select uninstall, restart and see if there any updates driver appear after restart, then get the hardware ID again, is it the same or different, or is it after automatically update it installed. I will look for more drivers, i studied many webcam drivers inf none of them seem to match your hardware.also remember check the automatic updates, see if there any updates for your webcam, generally i found your webcam is HP (chicony) webcam.report back the progress.
